Uganda's youth national teams are flying high this season, with the Teen Cranes (U-17 Women's team) delivering ruthless performances in regional competitions, including a remarkable 13-0 thrashing of Djibouti in the CECAFA U-17 Women's Championship.

The result showcased clinical finishing, midfield control, and defensive solidity, sending a clear message that Uganda is a force to reckon with in youth football, as the team advanced strongly through the tournament alongside encouraging results from other youth sides in CECAFA and COSAFA qualifiers and developmental tournaments.

"The girls are hungry for success. They train hard and play with confidence. Results like this build character and prepare them for bigger challenges ahead," one coach said after the big win, praising the players' commitment and tactical awareness.

These performances reflect FUFA's investment in youth development programmes, age-group leagues, and talent identification, with several current players already being monitored by senior national team coaches. As Uganda prepares to co-host AFCON 2027, developing young talent is seen as critical to building a strong senior team for the continental stage.
