📷 Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja meeting SDA Church leaders The Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church has reached consensus with the Government of Uganda on an alternative arrangement for the National Cleaning Day. Under the agreement, SDA members will conduct nationwide cleaning activities on every last Sunday of the month instead of Saturday. Led by Archbishop Samuel Kajoba, the SDA leaders also agreed to open worship centres at 10:00 a.m. every last Saturday of the month after the official national cleaning activities. The consensus was communicated on Tuesday evening during a meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister with Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja and the Deputy Secretary General of the NRM, Rt Hon Rose Namayanja. The National Cleaning Day is observed on the last Saturday of every month as part of government efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and community participation. The arrangement accommodates the SDA Church’s observance of Saturday as a day of worship while ensuring members contribute to the national sanitation exercise.
