Pepsi Uganda has rolled out a warm homecoming for the Ghetto Kids after their groundbreaking appearance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final. The Kampala-based dance troupe performed during the first-ever official World Cup Final halftime show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 19 July. They joined Colombian superstar Shakira and Nigerian artist Burna Boy on the tournament anthem “Dai Dai,” captivating a global audience. The group, also known as Triplets Ghetto Kids, returned to Uganda on Monday to jubilant receptions at Entebbe International Airport and subsequent celebrations. Fans, family and supporters turned out in numbers, waving flags and cheering the young performers who have become cultural ambassadors for the country. Pepsi Uganda, which has long supported the troupe, formally welcomed them back as history-makers. The Uganda Tourism Board also joined in celebrating their achievement, noting that the performance introduced millions worldwide to the creativity and spirit of Uganda. Founded to support disadvantaged children through music, dance and drama, the Ghetto Kids first gained international attention through viral dance videos.
