Kampala Queens Football Club etched their name into Ugandan sports history by winning their first-ever FUFA Women's Cup title, defeating Kawempe Muslim in a thrilling final that showcased the growing strength of women's football in the country.

The victory caps an impressive season for the Queens, who displayed tactical discipline, attacking flair, and mental toughness throughout the competition. "This is for every woman who has been told she can't play. We just proved them wrong," the captain said amid celebrations.

The triumph comes as women's football receives more investment and visibility in Uganda, with more clubs investing in academies and the national team continuing to fly the flag regionally. FUFA President Moses Magogo congratulated the winners, noting: "Kampala Queens have set a benchmark. We want to see more clubs reach this level so that Ugandan women's football can compete favourably across Africa."
