Ugandans should brace for predominantly hot and dry conditions throughout July 2026, according to the Ministry of Environment. Minister Beatrice Anywar briefed Parliament on the forecast, warning of below-average rainfall and warmer-than-normal temperatures.

Northern and parts of Eastern Uganda may see occasional light showers, while Central, Southwestern, and the Lake Victoria basin are expected to remain largely dry. The Ministry of National Guidance and related offices are expected to continue public updates as the weather pattern develops.

Farmers and water users are advised to take precautionary measures as the dry spell affects agriculture and daily life.
