The 12th Parliament of Uganda gathered on Thursday for its inaugural service led by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu. The service was held under the theme “Called to Serve.” It was attended by Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa (Ruhinda North County), Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi (Nakawa Division West), Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Norbert Mao (Laroo-Pece Division), other ministers, Members of Parliament and staff of Parliament. The inaugural service marks a traditional moment of spiritual reflection as the new Parliament begins its work. King Musah Media will continue covering the proceedings of the 12th Parliament.
