📷 Works Minister Fred Byamukama inspecting the Kira–Kasangati–Matugga Road Works and Transport Minister Fred Byamukama has ordered the contractor handling the Kira–Kasangati–Matugga Road to speed up construction after government resolved outstanding land challenges. During an inspection focused on results rather than routine checks, the Minister emphasised that every delayed road project costs citizens time, business and opportunities. He directed that the Kyaliwajjala–Kira–Kasangati section must reach the junction by December 2026. The remaining stretch to Matugga is required to be completed by July 2027. Byamukama also instructed the contractor to maintain regular dust control and upkeep on all sections currently under construction. Government will complete payments to the remaining project-affected persons to remove the last barriers to progress. The Minister’s intervention comes amid public concern over the pace of several road projects in the greater Kampala area. King Musah Media will continue monitoring progress on the Kira–Kasangati–Matugga corridor.
